Do I need the property system to use the POS?
No. Permitte POS is sold on its own for restaurants, bars, cafés and small shops. You never see a room, a booking or a check-in unless you add the PMS later.
What counts as a terminal?
Any device signed in and taking orders at the same time — a register, a tablet on the floor, a phone behind the bar. Kitchen screens are free and are not counted.
What hardware do I need?
Anything with a browser. It runs on the tablet, laptop or phone you already own, and works with standard USB or network receipt printers and cash drawers.
Does it keep working when the internet drops?
Yes. The register carries on taking orders offline and syncs as soon as the connection returns. Nothing is lost and service does not stop.
I already run a hotel — should I buy the POS separately?
No. The POS is included in the PMS Growth and Pro plans, where it can charge an order straight to a guest's folio. Buying it standalone only makes sense for a venue with no rooms.
Can I start with the POS and add rooms later?
Yes. It is the same system, so switching to a PMS plan turns on bookings, housekeeping and folios without a migration or a second login.
